Where to send greeting cards with no subscription
23 September 2026 ยท 4 min read
You wanted to send one card. Somewhere between the design picker and the checkout you were offered a membership, a free trial that renews, or a credit bundle that expires. Send Card doesn't do any of that: you pay for the card you're sending, and that's the end of the transaction.
What it costs, in full
- $1.99 โ a digital card, emailed as an animated envelope.
- $1.00 extra โ schedule it for a future date, time and timezone.
- $9.99 โ a real card, printed and posted, with printing and postage included.
- $0 โ signing up, browsing, or making a card you decide not to send.
Why subscriptions are so common on card sites
Cards are seasonal. Most people send a handful a year, clustered around birthdays and December, so a site that charges per card has a lumpy income. A membership smooths that out โ for the site. For you it means paying in the eleven months you send nothing, and remembering to cancel. It's a pricing decision, not a product one.
How pay-per-card changes what you get
Because there's no plan to justify, there's no template library to pad out. Every card is made for one person: the cover illustration is painted from your description, and the message is written about them. You're paying for one card, so the whole thing is built around that one card being right.
There's no card kept on file and nothing to cancel. If you never come back, nothing happens โ and if you do, your tenth card is free.
The one thing we do keep for regulars
If you make an account, your first card is half price, every card earns a stamp and the tenth is free. You can also save the people you care about with their key dates so we can remind you before birthdays, anniversaries, Mother's Day and Father's Day. That's optional and free โ it's a reminder, not a plan.
